Biography

Arthur-Alfred Brunel de Neuville was born in Paris in 1852, where he regularly exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Francais from 1879 before becoming a full member in 1907. Collectors have always been drawn to his playful studies of kittens. This joyful oil on canvas is presented in its original, antique frame and depicts felines quizzically pouring over a ball of yarn.
